Description of link:
This link is about the nature and wildlife in Terengganu. There will be 5 titles under this link. They are the Kenyir Lake, Turtle Santuary, Pasir Raja Forest Reserve, Kuang Ajil Park, and the Waterfalls (Sekayu Waterfall and Sungai Ceralak Waterfall). 


Objectives of link:
The objective of this link is to introduce the tourists about the nature and wildlife of Terengganu. Besides that, it can provide more information for the tourist about the flora and fauna of Terennganu so that they can be more understanding about Terengganu. Furthermore, through the links, tourists can have some choices to go to discover Terengganu.

OUR AMAZING WONDERLAND, TERENGGANU 

Terengganu, which is located on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, offers a wealth of sightseeing attractions for visitors. It has the extraordinary mix of exotic flora and fauna and plenty of places dedicated to the preservation of nature.  Besides that, Terengganu is also known as a treasure trove which act as a home to some of the most spectacular wonders of the natural world, including the 130 million-year-old rainforest and the largest man-made lake in the Southeast Asia. So, Enjoy and learn as you visit each of the places in Terengganu, perhaps coming out with a better understanding of our living environment.


Kenyir Lake
Kenyir Lake is the largest man-made lake in the southeast Asia, spanning 260,000 hectares. It is also the Malaysia’s largets rock filled hydroelectric dam. Besides that, it acts as a home for more than 8,000 species of flowers, 2,500 species of plants and trees, 800 species of orchids, and 300 species of fungus. Furthermore, Tasik Kenyir is located about 55 km inland of Kuala Terengganu and it also a gateway to Taman Negara through Tanjung Mentong.


Turtle Santuary
Rantau Abang Beach, which is situated in thenorth of Terengganu, is the one of the six places in the world where the giant leatherback turtles come on shore to lay their eggs every year.


Pasir Raja Forest Reserve
Pasir Raja Forest Reserve is located near the border of Taman Negara and it is the home of the world’s largest Chengal tree. This tree is estimated to be 1,300 years old and its diameter is 17.75 metres. 





Kuang Ajil Park
The most beautiful birds in the worl is the pheasant. In Malaysia, Ajil Pheasant Park is the largest breeding farm and there are hundreds of pheasant’s chick hatching out every year. Moreover, there are more than 30 species of protected pheasants from all over  the world including the magnificient Peafowls in the ajil Pheasants Park.  


Sekayu Waterfall
Sekayu Waterfall is located within the Sekayu Recreational Forest in Kuala Berang. It was established in 1974 and officially launched in 1985. Furthermore, Sekayu Waterfall is said to be one of the most comprehensive picnicking and trekking area in the state.


Sungai Ceralak Waterfall
There are two famous waterfalls at Sungai Ceralak. The first one is the Jeram Solo which is about 12m high and the second one is the Jeram Padang which is about 24m high. These areas have many attractive trees and various species of wild flowers. In addition, Sungai Ceralak is a best place for the photographers because it has a scenic backdrop.
